I remember the first time I saw Star Wars in the movie theater. It was in New York City and I was a young kid. It was the phantom menace so I guess around 2001. I really liked the desert racing scene. This was the first time I saw Star Wars in the theaters

Star Wars in the theater is so much fun!! It's ubiquitous and a bit of a bore on the tube. The first episode of Star Wars I saw was with my girlfriend and her parents in northern New Hampshire. The gender gap was a yawning chasm between us. We ditched the parents for episode 2, The Empire Strikes Back, traded the folks in for a bottle of cheap red wine, which we blew through waiting in line to get in. Best wine I ever had, and the movie was awesome!
