My years at KIrkland

I transferred to Kirkland as a sophomore from the University of Michigan.  The contrast was enormous and fabulous!   As a new school without grades, Kirkland attracted women who were confident and up for adventure.  Who else would go to a brand new school, when there were so many established places from which to choose. I loved my 3 years, but when Hamilton and Kirkland merged, I lost my connection to the school.  I went there to go to Kirkland, not to go to Hamilton.  I did not return to campus for 40 years, until my 40th class reunion.  I was glad I went back, but I miss what Kirkland was.
