Happy Birthday America!
In 2026, America will be celebrating its 250th birthday!
All over the country, over the next two years, celebrations will be gearing up for this important anniversary. Stories of real Americans - you, me - are being collected to tell the real story of America.
By participating, you and Journall, together with institutions around Connecticut, are doing our part in this grand celebration of America. And as we collect these stories, Connecticut is getting out ahead of this celebration. Let's show America that even though we're a little state, we have a big stake in the story of America!
Our goal is 10,000 stories from every town, every person, all over the state.

We the People! You are Invited!
Everyone who lives in, or has ever lived in Connecticut, visited or had a connection to CT, is invited to share their impressions, memories, likes or dislikes about CT. We want you to share your stories of life in this little state with a big heart, and even bigger history.

This is a singular opportunity for all of us to tell the story of Connecticut as only we can tell it.
The story of Connecticut is the story of all of us - the farmers, office workers, nurses, students, people of all colors, women, differently abled people, athletes, musicians, native peoples, LGBTQ. All of us! This is our story and our chance to tell it!

Can I Get Involved?

- Become a social media Ambassador - sharing news about THE RAVE and about your town.
- Volunteer at one of our many venues to help people add their stories to history
- Interview your friends and family, neighbors and shopkeepers and add their stories to history,
- Ask your local library, organization, book club, senior center to get involved
